You are not going to find a moped/scooter for $600, and cheap shipping. If you find a moped for that cheap it’s obviously going to be a piece of junk, and you’ll end up putting more money into it than if you would have just bought something in good condition. Of course shipping is going to be expensive, they are shipping a moped to you! That’s a large item, and weights a lot, so you’re not going to get out of that unless you go and pick it up yourself.
Also wanted to add that I 2nd what blanderswake said about the Yamaha Vino.
Well, you have the first lesson down pat: China sucks. Lesson two: You need more than 50cc. I have a 70cc Honda and it’s gutless going uphill and/or into the wind. Coming back down, it’ll go 55. If I could run out today and buy another scoot, I’d go for a Yamaha Vino 125. It’s got power, but it’s still small and maneuverable and gets good mileage. Find a good used 125 to 250cc bike.
"Good" and "cheap" don’t usually go together in the same bike, unless it’s a second-hand Japanese, Taiwanese or Korean.
Website would be craigslist or e-bay. You pay for the shipping by arrangement with the seller,or pick it up yourself.
Like you said, it needs to be 50cc, so there’s no point in recommending a bigger one – because you can ride a 50 on a car license, right?
Buy used, Buy local so you can see and ride the bike before you buy it.
