I saw my former teacher for the first time in months the other day. She looked sad when she saw me, then would ask how I’ve been and stuff, then would look away. Then she made fun of me cause I was acting like I was hurt. Then she told me that I never come to see her, but she didn’t look at me when she said it. Well I went to see her the next day, and she still had the sad look on. So she asked me questions concerning myself, and then made fun of me again of how I was riding around the store on a scooter, which she knows I wasn’t hurt. Then she said a few other things to make herself laugh. Then she said it was good to see me. I did see her earlier this year, and she acted all nervous when she said hey to me. Why would she seem all quiet and nervous around me? We did have a good student-teacher relationship when I was in her class. I just never went to see her this school year.

When two of his friends bought scooters, senior Todd Anslow thought it was just another fad that would go the way of wheeled backpacks in middle school. He was wrong. Soon three more of his friends stopped saving for cars and traded in their dream of a cool set of wheels for, well, another kind of cool. Suddenly, Todd found himself getting left out of afterschool jaunts down to the university drag, where a scooter could be parked for free on the sidewalk. (Parking a car on campus is never cheap and sometimes impossible.)

Me and my grandmother were at a grocery store. She has bad joints, so she uses a walker and those scooter things at the grocery store. She got up to go fetch some beans, and while she was distracted, I stole the scooter xD She tried chasing me for like 10 min., then I got bored and gave it back
^_^
it’s either that, or the time I told all the little kids on the bus how babies are really made.
I really am interested in getting myself a GTS200. My friends tease me about it, but I don’t care. Would anyone who has a vespa please let me know anything you think I should know or take into consideration when buying my first scooter? I am a blank slate.
Wow! Thanks so much, Autumn!
im almost 16 and im looking to buy a 50cc moped/scooter i need to know laws for state of north carolina like can you cary a passenger and stuff like that. i do not have a license, how much does it cost to get insurance. what are good 50cc mopeds to buy for 00.00 or under. any Information will help ,,, thanks!
I live in quebec, and the legal age to drive a motorized scoter is 14, it has to be under 50cc’s though, although my friend who is 15 drives a 75cc scooter. and is registered for insurance and for a lisence. is this some kind of mess up with our Societie de Automobiles? Hes been stopped by a number of cops and none of them have mentioned it.
My son has Asperger’s Disorder. He is a Target with a capital T. This one kid in the nieghborhood asked him to hang out yesterday and off they went to the schoolyard down the street.
When my son said he didn’t want to play baseball the "bully" picked up the bat and threatened him, stole his scooter, gave back the scooter, than proceeded with name calling - P****, wimp, M*****F*****. Then told my son to go F*** himself, go F*** his mom and Go F*** his friends. Then this kid proceeded to go to another kids house on the block and got him to join in on the verbal abuse. I talked to the family to let them know that in the future if the kid is on my property or harrasses us agian I will physically remove him or call in athorities if needed. It is not the first time this kid has harrassed my son.I know it won’t be the last. What do you think would be a good or better way to handle the prob? The family said,"Well, he’ll have to learn sometime". That was the extent of reaction.
As to HD’s answer: This kid hasn’t been around in two years. I was hoping things had changed. That doesn’t make me or my son out to be a victim purposefully. The kid put on a good face to me and got my son out of adult site and bullied him. Your take on being a victim is skewed. I talked to his aunt ( the family that is on the block - my neighboor) and let her know to keep him away and I will be taking action. If you don’t have a child who is socially ostrisized than you don’t have a clue as to handle things. I’m obviously still learning. But we are not "victims" in the typicle sense. Look up Asperger’s and you will learn a lot. Why don’t you go and volunteer for a day at an autism fundraiser and learn for yourself how socially akward these kids can be. Than come back and tell me you wouldn’t try any and all avenues to help him make friends.
Okay, I’m off to college in a few mounths and I have about 2,000 dollars cash to spend on a scooter. mpg is the most important thing, along with durability. Than speed, power and overall…goodness. You get the picture. I’m going to be staying on smaller side streets and stuff, no freeway for me. But I don’t want some puny whiny weakling that can’t go up a steep hilll faster than 20. Just somthing a college kid can use to get around after school to eat and such. You get the idea.
Remember: No more than 00
Has to be a scooter/moped
Thanks a bunch!!!
Jimmy was the best mouse there ever was. I only knew him for a couple of seconds, though. I was riding to the store on my scooter. I saw a little furry thing. I looked closer and realized it was a mouse. He had been hit by a car, only halfway though. His heart was showing, he was in obvious pain. The heart still beating, I felt sure sadness for the little guy. I tried to do all I could, keep him warm, make him feel better in his last moments. It was all in vain. Jimmy died later this evening.
Hopefully Jimmy made it to the rainbow bridge, aka animal heaven.

I am planning on purchasing a motorized bicycle (not a moped or scooter, a regular bike with a little engine attached, one of these: http://www.motoredbikes.com/gallery/my/index.jpg
The problem is that I live in a very high bike theft area and I am really worried about it getting stolen, esspecially with the fancy engine and all. I have already lost two bikes worth nowhere near as much as this one will be.
The best idea I’ve heard so far is to buy one of those disposable cell phones with GPS and hide it somewhere on the bike so if it’s stolen I can track it on the internet.
Any ideas for how I could securely hide the phone without the theif finding it right away?
Where can I get this kind of phone for cheap, prefferably pay as you go since I won’t be using it as an actual phone.
Also, any other ideas for some sort of low cost tracking device I can use?
Other ideas besides tracking? (I do plan on using two kryptonite locks)
Also, locking it up in safe places is not always possible. Sometimes I need to leave it overnight. The two U-locks will help, but I need something eles just in case!
you may explaine the necessity ,taking into consideration the power or cc of scooter
is it possible to add such an ABS to a scooter (e.i. honda dylan 150 cc) which has not it originally?)
I spent every summer in Croatia where I have Yamaha 125 cc scooter. The rest of the year scooter is stored in garage why the battery goes bad. In USA, I can buy a battery charger tender junior( which operate on 120V 60Hz), but I couldn’t find one in Croatia for 220V 50Hz. Is there any place in USA where I can buy battery charger which operates on 220V 50Hz?
Thanks
Once upon a time, in the early 90’s and earlier, boys, and girls perhaps, used to be the main delivery system for our American Newspapers. Now, as is evident in most communities, adults have taken over the job, delivering in their cars. I know my building gets them this way. Homes in my town, the same way. My mother delivered newspapers when I was young adult, in a car. etc.I have never seen a real life delivery boy on a bike, in quite some time.
I would reckon to say, I have not seen a boy delivering newspapers on a bike in at least 25 years since the mid 80’s perhaps. Yet, I just was a movie yesterday, where a boy is delivering papers on a mechanical scooter. I kid you not. I think it was about a girl who plays soccer, and falls for her dreamy yearbook photographer. And I constantly see shows like "Desperate Housewives" etc. where they show these mysterious "boys on bike" trolling through the neighborhood delivering papers, etc.
The closest thing I can think of, is seeing this dishevled, seemingly homeless fellow, hoofing it, walking through my local neighborhoods, throwing those free newspapers at the homes around where I live. And he’s around 45. Not exactly a boy on a bike.
So what gives, are there communities, that you ‘Personally" know about, where you see young tikes on bikes, throwing out our American Newspapers? What is the truth? Why do they continue to show these types of scenes in modern day American Movies?
