So I know this question is going to probably get lots of spam answers from robots and insurance salesmen, but I can tell the difference, so hopefully I get some answers from real people.

What is the cheapest company for motorcycle insurance you’ve ever used? I have one bike (GSXR750), and I plan to buy a second bike, however the insurance company wants to charge me just as much for the second bike as the first. Its pretty rediculous to pay the full cost of both bikes, when you can only ride one at a time. You should be able to just buy one set of liability and collision insurance and use it on both, since your only going to be riding one at a time, you can’t possibly be "liable" for both, or have a "collision" with both at once. So why do you have to pay for both at once?

Anyways, so far the cheapest I’ve personally found is State farm, which is sort of odd because they are definetly not the cheapest when it comes to my car/home insurance. My car/home insurance is much more expensive than state farm on motorcycles. I called geicko for their powersports insurance, and for identical coverage, they want to charge 5X as much, seriously, 5X. State farm is around 0 a year for me, Geico wanted about 0 for the identical package.

Is there any company you’ve used that’s cheaper, or that could allow you to group bikes under one umbrella?

about how much is motorcycle insurance for an 18/19 yr old new driver in Queens NY? is motorcycle insurance cheaper or expensiver than car insurance? i know that if i get a class D license, it will increase my parents insurance. will getting a class M not do this cuz i would not legally be allowed to drive their cars? do you know a good place close to or in NYC where i could buy inexpensive motorcycles (new or used) and lessons? thanx alot for the help

Hey everyone just want to have some opinions on something. I was wondering if it is a good idea to have a motorcycle and car at the same time. I was thinking/planning on purchasing a cheap, but not to cheap reliable car that would last me through the winter and when it rains. I was then thinking of buying a motorcycle and using that when it’s not raining. Does that sound like a good idea? Worth it? Just wondering if anyone knows about how much motorcycle insurance is?

Well, i live in Florida where motorcycle insurance is not required at all. But I need comprehensive insurance at least (and maybe liability too) so that I wont have to cry over a stolen bike after a week of purchase. I’m buying this bike in cash (2008 ninja 250R) and still big insurance companies like progressive and geico will charge me a thousand bucks a year for liability and comprehensive coverages alone. So, I need to know the names of some small insurance companies who wont use their big and flashy names to jack up their prices. please help. I dont wanna pay 1000 bucks a year for a 3500 dollar bike. Thanks.

Alright guys, I have been looking into buying a Triumph Daytona 675. Its not so much the price of the bike that I am worried about, but its the insurance that will kill me.

So, I am definitely new to buying bikes, and getting insurance. But i did try to get quotes from some big name companies. TOO MUCH!

Any of you know of companies that specialize in motorcycle insurance for cheap, with an at fault accident on record? The lowest rate I got was from Dairyland for about 1800 a year. That is still quite a bit, so i was looking ofr something cheaper.

If you all could help me out, that would be fantastic.

p.s. I live in the state of South Carolina. age 18.

This is going to sound crazy but try to stay with me here. I’m 17 about to be 18 and I live in Michigan. I’m going to be going to college in Lima, Ohio and will be driving back to michigan every couple of weeks. I have a truck that sucks gas so I am going to buy a bike. Either an 98′-05′ Yamaha YZF R6 or R1 I haven’t decided yet. I was wondering who has the cheapest insurance for what I’m doing with the bike. Basically driving it long distance and to class every so often. It will be stored in my apartment down there whenever I’m not driving it. Can anyone help me out. I know I’m a little young for any kind of cheap insurance but maybe there is a company out there that gives breaks to college students?
