I am looking for a used motorcycle that is reliable on maintenance.
I am a solo full-time parent with 2 teens, the older one a senior this fall who wants to use my car for school. Although I haven’t ridden for years (Sold off my old cycle after best friend’s younger brother was killed; now I won’t drive one on the freeway unless there’s some kind of emergency.) - I have once again thought about purchasing a motorcycle for regular street use - maybe 7 miles to work and back each day. I figure that with rising gas and insurance rates, this is one way to cut costs and free up the car.
My old bike was a 250cc - so I guess anything around that is fine. I am curious as to which motorcycle would be recommended? Can anyone recommend a motorcycle based on my needs?
No experience driving motorcycles but heard it was very easy.
I can’t really afford a used car at this moment and a motor cycle is half the price of the car i saw. What would be something i have to worry about when driving a motorcycle?
Is gas more effiecient? What if i want to resell it? What are the chances of getting into an accident if i’m careful driving it?
I already have a car, I drive a 2007 camry that i bought last year but i’m giving it to my wife. We have 2 kids,
I’ll be getting life insurance if i go with the bike. She thinks it’s really dangerous but i don’t think it is.
2004 suzuki GSXR 750. I have never had a ticket or an accident and have been with my insurance company for almost 10 years. I own my primary vehicle and it’s paid off. I know it’s hard to give a quote, I just want an idea. (Motorcycle will be garaged)
I’m looking around for a motorcycle because of high gas prices and insurance is cheaper. So far, I’m interested in a Kawasaki Ninja 250R. What are some other good starter bikes?
I was just wondering how bad it is to buy a motorcycle that was rebuilt in terms of everything, insurance, performance, registration. I’m going for a cheap bike either way around 1500$ and I just figured that if it has been rebuilt a lot of the pieces are good right? You can probably tell I don’t know much about bikes.
Hi, I’m 17 years old and looking to get a motorcycle.
I have good grades and will only drive a motorcycle when the "conditions" are right. Like weather, cars on the road Sat. Sun. which has less cars, and going to school and to work.
I don’t care if I "die" and I’m not afraid to die.
I have ,000 saved up in the bank and would like to buy a Ninja 250 for ,500 -2008. Plus 0 for gear and classes.
I will get my driver’s license this December and will take the MSD courses in spring of 2010.
I can’t find any used or cheap ninja 250’s around my area and I think I would rather go stright to the dealer rather then the seller because of too much red tape and work.
I think my insurance will be cheaper because I will ride only to school and work and I have "good" grades. Even though I am young.
SO, is there any place I can find any user friendly bikes or cheap ninja 250’s?
I know that any scooter that is over 250cc is highway legal. The real issue is that will I be able to use it to ride from California to Texas and Arizona ? I’m looking to get a Honda Silver Wing, Piaggio MP3, or a Honda Reflex instead in riding the Ninja 250cc. Is it really practical to use a scooter to replace a motorcycle ?

I am looking to buy a new motorcycle. I like the Suzuki Boulevard S50. I want it to be brand new with no miles. Do you think I can get a better deal if I wait until winter to buy?
On the motorcycle I had 35 years ago, there was a valve that I could open to give me just a little more gas when the tank was empty.
Does this motorcycle have that? Where?
Hi,
I’m 24, male. I plan on getting the Yamaha R6-I’ll be financing the bike.
I have some questions regarding to insurance of the bike.
My friend owns a 06 Suzuki GSXR750, it was his first bike, and he is a fresh bike rider also. But his full coverage is only 0/month.
While searching online (geico, Progressive, allstate), I find out that the full coverage for the bike itself is 7/month-which I found strange. Because I’m older than my friend, he’s 22.
I understand that you need full coverage(collision, comprehensive coverage) when you’re financing a bike. My friend is also financing the bike. But how come his full coverage is way cheaper than what I’ve searched for?
I also picked the 0 deductible on Comprehensive and Collision too. But the lowest I got was 7/month-if not 0/month.
When I decline the Comp and Coll, my coverage is only /month. Why is there a big gap for my full coverage comparing to my younger friend with a bigger cc bike? 600 vs. 750.
We used to be in the military, so they made us take a rider course to be able to operate a motorcycle.
Yes, my friend is currently paying 0/month full coverage. Another friend also has an 06 R6, 22yo, fresh rider-he only pays 5/month through Allstate.
And yes, I have an EXCELLENT credit.
Clean driving record.
I insure my own car.
My choice for bikes are Yamaha R6, or a 2008 Ducati 848

Insane right?? Im going to try to talk to a broker in person and see where that gets me
I have a pretty decent credit score low 700’s and i checked esurance and im down to 2800 a year.
how much would it cost to insure a 16 year old male for a 230cc motorcycle in Ca ??
I have read that in some states (including AR) any motorcycle under 250CC is considered a moped, thus not requiring a license/tags/insurance to drive.
I have read the AR state license law over and over and it states; Class M - Any motorcycle with displaces more than 250 cc’s. Minimum age 16.
My question is this, does the Ninja 250 bypass this law altogether? I have hard of people getting mopeds to bypass a DUI causing them to lose there license, but would a ninja 250 do the same?
