Ok, earlier today i got into an accident when i was pulling into a drive way with the sun glaring i hit a guy on a moped, i got fault, but im conserned that im not to blame, i just figured out that the guy driving the moped wasnt the owner of it, it was his friends, just baught it that day, saying they just got done putting it together… dont know why you’d buy a moped just to build it?? and it had no insurance, nor plate yet, he didnt even have any protective gear on eather, it was a black Moped Touring 150cc? what ever that is. and i think you need a special license to drive a moped above 50cc in Florida? and when i hit him he went flying pretty far, about a car length, i dont know if that helps me back up that he probably was speeding? but yeah. i have a court date soon, is there a chance id lose or win?

I think you have to be 16 don’t you (which i am)

1. Where can i get a decent moped for not much money
2. If i need lessons, what would the average cost be and how would i go about getting lessons ?
3. Whats the top speed
4. On a full ‘tank’ < if thats what you call it ? how far could it go at average speed
5. how much does tax and insurance cost

I have had it for 2 months, I have ridden it THREE times. I have crashed and burned twice. Both times I looked where I didn’t want to go, I get that.

I did want to learn…

1st time I ran into a curb in my complex & messed up my lt shoulder. It healed okay after about two or three weeks. My husband convinced me to ride it to the convenience store about a mile & a half a way. He followed me just in case I wrecked again, but I didn’t.

A couple of days later I decided I was ready to ride it to my sisters. She lives about 20 miles from me. I made it all the way to her street, turning off of a busy street.

Once again…I wrecked it. This time I ran into & busted up a 3 ft brick wall. Fortunately the gentleman whose property I messed up, a very nice chiropractor who was very concerned for me was there.

However, I messed up my right shoulder this time, & my rt knee cap may need to be surgically repaired.

My husband wants me to try again, would U?
I’m sitting here on my rubber donut ring because of my bruised tail bone, both legs up on pillows, LMAO!

My commute is about 12 miles each way (to the nearest light rail stop; I take that the rest of the way). I bicycle sometimes when the weather is nice, but I need a way to get to work when it’s raining, or I’m feeling too lazy to bike and for small shopping trips to the grocery store and things like that.

I’m looking for (ranked in this order) an environmentally friendly, safe, low maintenance, inexpensive (< k) mode of transportation (car, scooter, ???). Does anyone hav any suggestion? If you can be specific about make, model and year that would be really helpful.

Here’s my dilemma:

I use a manual wheelchair part time for a chronic illness. I’d like to get 26" rear wheels so my arms will need less help pushing, but I’d also like to reduce my front casters down to 4" light up scooter wheels (they are currently 6"). However, I don’t want to tip forward too much, and I actually do need the footrests to stay on.

So assuming I only need my current caster assemblies or forks to be about 2" taller (8" from the bend to where the wheel bolts through, total), how do I do that? Should I just use one of the 8" caster forks with a 4" wheel? Would there be any problems with that? Are there any other solutions?

its an extended response.
A scooter designer uses the same body to make scooters with 3 wheels, and scooters with 4 wheels. He has enough bodies to make 50 scooters. He has 160 wheels. How many 3-wheel scooters, and how many 4-wheel scooters can he make by using all the wheels, and all the bodies?….

for them at the company’s expense. I always assumed that they had something like MS or some other mobility limiting illness. As it turns out, it’s just because they’re obese. Not that it’s really my business, but….
it came up because I’ve been on crutches with a broken ankle, and the security guy said that if I got tired of hobbling around, they could buy me a scooter. I was shocked, and he said <names omitted> have them just because they’re fat." I checked it out, and he was right. I still didn’t take him up on it though.

NOWHERE on the reverse of my monthly statement (light gray small print) is there an actual Institution name or phone number.
Any help anyone can shed is greatly appreciated. I will look up phone numbers of all institutions you are able to name for me (unless you know them <grin>)

i am 13 years old, and i found this electric/motorized bike that i really like, but im not sure if i would be allowed to ride it because nothing i have read about is says if kids can ride it. it is the x-treme xb-500. also if you know if this is a good electric/motorized bike that would be helpful too. thanks <333

My everyday schedule is taking my 7 years old son to school (<1mile), to swim (<8miles), to art & music (<1mile) and to a local shop for pick up little things (<5 miles). As a staying home mother, the gas price really effects our family; I never ride on any scooter and don’t know if the 50 cc scooter is safe for me to drive and to take my son to his daily activities. Please give me some advices.

I'm about to move to Jacksonville from GA and I know here if you have a <50cc motor-scooter you don't need a motorcycle permit, license, or insurance. Is it the same for FL?

Also, would Jax be a good city to get around by scooter or should I just stick to a bicycle or public transit? (I can't afford a car.)
