I’m soon to be 26 and currently pay a lot of the privilege of owning a Honda Civic Type-R. Is motorcycle insurance generally dearer or cheaper? I’m not considering replacing my car completely but simply owning a motor-cycle because I’ve always wanted to and there isn’t really anything to stop me.
I should have said as per one of the replies, I’m fully aware and understood the cost of insurance on a Type R. My logic was in thinking that as a motorcycle `can be` dangerous and is faster than perhaps a car, I’d have thought the insurance would be dearer.

I’m trying to choose between a couple years old honda civic coupe (approx k) and a couple year old motorcycle (not sure exactly which one yet, but planning on getting a reliable and affordable bike that is a couple years old).
I also will buy a quality helmet, jacket, boots, and gloves.
Is insurance more or less expensive? Also take into consideration gas savings, potential medical bills (hopefully not), etc.
Specifically, how much cheaper is it?

I’m in college now and I come home for summer vacation. My mom and dad have this 2003 Honda Civic that they don’t use anymore. My mom says I can have it if I teach my brother to ride a bike. But he says he doesn’t need to learn. (He can skateboard and scooter and thinks that’s enough) But summer vacation is over in 1 1/2 weeks and I really want to have a car when I go back to school. I remember it took me only 3 days to learn to ride a bike w/o training wheels. I really need to get him to ride a bike! How??!!??
Btw, he’s nine.
BRIBING? he already has like everything. any other suggestions?

I bought a 1995 honda civic ex with aftermarket rims, and I’m looking for a factory set of rims but don’t know what size they came with.
I have tried 13in but it’s to small, it doesn’t get pass the brake caliper.

we recently got a used 2002 Honda Civic, but it did not come with any keyless entry remotes. we are planning on buying one or two remotes off of ebay, but we are unsure of how to program them and also where the FCC ID is located on the car. we checked on the frame of the driver-side door where there is a manufacturers label and a car information label, but could not find it. does anybody know how to program a 2002 Honda Civic keyless entry remote? or where to find the FCC ID on the car?

I own a 1992 honda civic that has been fully operational until a few days ago. I went out to start it but nothing turns on, none of the electrical components work. The only thing that will turn on are the emergency lights. The battery is new and charged.
The headlights do not work , only the emergency flashers. I do not know much about cars, where might the ground be located. Would it be worth it to try and replace the fusible link?

I bought a new honda civic 2008 in December. I have been driving it for three weeks and found that my MPG was way below its estimation. City is around 14 and highway is around 22. Although i am not expecting the same number as in the specification, it shouldn’t be that much different. Any one has the same problem? Should i bring my car to the dealer to check it?

Hi i am looking to engine swap my 2000 honda civic (coupe) and don’t know what other engines fit its body. Like what engines from other stock cars and/or and turbo or improved engines made for the civic are there?

I have heard recently that it was possible to convert my Honda Civic by taking out the traditional gas engine and replacing it with an electric motor from a forklift. Ever hear of someone actually doing this? Typical cost? What level of expertise do you need?

I was recently informed at Honda that the transmission fluid and the power steering fluid are exclusively a special type for Honda. This was confirmed for me when I priced a fluid flush at a AAA tune up place. I’ve never taken my 2004 Honda Civic any place else. Now it will need the belts replaced and the tires need to be realigned.
Honda’s service prices seem so inflated. What can I get done for cheaper without it costing the health of my car?

I have a 95 Honda Civic with 310,740 miles on it. I bought it from it’s previous owner. And it still starts up and drives very well.

My 1989 Honda Civic will not start without rolling down a hill to pop the clutch. I thought it might be the battery, but once I chnaged it, the car did the same thing. Does that mean the clutch has gone bad or is it something else?

How long (in both miles AND years) did your Honda Civic last, before having major mechanical problems? Please also indicate whether you live in a snowy area or in a place like California where the conditions favor car longevity.
