Did the person in the electric wheelchair pick you up?

Well last night, my sister and I were like really hyper, and so we were playing around with the camera and taking a video (I’m 13). So I was looking at the camera, and my sister is in an electric wheelchair (long story) and I thought she was going backwards, and I didn’t know she was going fowards (I was looking at the camera) and before I know it, she’s on top of my foot with one of her wheels, and so I started screaming and she stopped not knowing she was ontop of my foot, and I was screaming, "GET IT OFF!!" she didn’t know I was screaming at her and stayed ontop of my foot for a few seconds. Ever since then I’ve been in excruciating pain and my veins are like popping out of my foot, and I can hardally walk on it cause it hurts too much.

My parents just think it’s a bruise, so they aren’t going to take me to the doctors to get an x-ray or anything. What should I do?? I can’t stand this pain for any longer!!

(I have been putting ice on it and elevating it… not working!)

My grandma is really weird! She chases me with an electric wheelchair and hits me with a newspaper. She is a little of her block. My other grandma is a little weird too. She thinks my little sister is annoying, well she is. My grandpa is weird too. He sits in his room all day and sleeps and you can’t wake him up. What a weirdo! Tell me funny things about your grandparents. The funniest one gets the best answer.

If we truly want people of all sorts of disability to participate in sport - then we should add more categories to different sports?
Such as…..
- Electric Wheelchair synchronised swimming
- Wheelchair ski jump (Winter Paralympic games)

Additional comment: Before all you politically correct, ultra sensitive and easily-offended trolls get on your high horses, I work in disability and have many friends who have severe disability and are wheelchair users. We had a good laugh over discussion like this.
There is a BIG difference between making fun of people with disability and having a laugh ABOUT disability.

Reading a great book called "You: the smart patient", and found my PCP (call him Dr G) to be quite inept. While his physicians assistant is normally the one I see, my PCP will be torn away from whatever he does to avoid patients if and when I go into the hospital.
I have decided he is the last person on the face of the Earth for me. No matter what my medical condition when I see him, it is always the same answer. He hands me a 5th generation photocopy of a one page low-fat diet and sends me out. My stepdad (in his 80s) can hardly walk to the street and is constantly on oxygen. He bought an old wheelchair from a neighbor, but barely has strength to push himself. Whe he asked for the doctor’s help in getting an electric wheelchair, the doctor said, oh, medicare won’t pay for one of those for you! You can still walk. He treated this great WWII ex-Marine like dirt. I deicded that was it. I do not want him or anyone he would suggest. Anyone (esp. from the medical field) have suggestions??

actually, canadians dont live in igloos up north,rarely have syrup for lunch all the time (rarely have syrup except on pan cakes), have same taste as americans in music movies and clothes, i personaly hate those muck luck things, we dont wear parkas, it doesnt snow all the time… I dont own a dog sled.

give me grants or low interest loans to moidfy my home since my disability is progressing to the point where i will be in my electric wheelchair for longer periods and eventually full time!!!

like to widen doorways, stair lifts, ramps, etc…?!!!

right now i am able to walk around for a 1/2 a day, but then sometimes my body totaly shuts down for about a week or so!!!

my weight room is upstairs and a stairway lift would be great!!!

also are there any places to get grant for solar energy projects for a home?!!!
era is the official title your hear and is stated when you fill out forms at vets hospitals, counseling, for official veterans business as in applying for a pention and benefits!!!

i just not to long ago got out of hospice care at a nursing home dying from end-stage liver cancer, this was on top of my longtime orthapedic disability!!!

got a transplant, came home , preparing for the future!!!

keep the faith, theres always hope, my doctor proved that was true, i only had about a month left!!!

i have an excersize bike and some weights downstairs too, im just trying to get back to using my weightroom again!!!

I am going back and forth with an event organizor. I want to go on a bus trip-I will need to bring a folding electric wheelchair that weighs betweeen 75-100 pounds–It turns out in the last week-they haven’t even called the bus company to ask if they are able to do this-

they just said they don’t think its a good idea as the drivers tend to be old and wouldn’t be able to help lift (with my friend)

Don’t they lift heavy suitcases?

anyway…

i do not know what the bus company is (I just emailed to ask) so I can’t contact them directly.

does anyone have any experience getting a motorized chair on a chartered bus in teh storage area underneath…

Is the opening tall enough to roll the chair up a ramp?
I did get the contatc info-and it shoudln’t be a problem—doesn’t explain why the trip organizer said it woudl be with even contacting the bus company

So i am in a wheelchair right and my electric wheelchair broke like completely beond fixable and i was supposed to get a new chair anyways but the insurance just needs to approve it and i have this lazy Representative and she wont call the insurance people so i cant get my chair so i am stuck in bed having people do things for me i hate it what do i do she wont answer her phone it would only take a 3 Minuet phone call

I tell them to leave me alone, but they won’t. I hide, but they find me. I can’t run forever and I can’t please everyone because all the others will get jealous. I have a friend who broke his neck jumping from a tree into the creek. He can barley operate the electric control knob on his electric wheelchair. Thank God that America supplys him a wheelchair but he and his little wife have it bad bad bad. Surley there is somewhere I could call and give their names. Some cloths, hotwater heater and a wheel chair ramp out of thier small trailer.

Im looking to buy a people carrier, due to my mum being disabled and needing the space to fit her electric wheelchair and other items and for her ease for transport.
