Need information about bicycles with motors?
I am filing bankruptcy and my vehicle is being repossessed as of tomorrow. I expected that to happen, so I’ve already prepared by prepping a old bicycle, for commuter use, that my sister and brother-in-law found. For now, bicycling is fine but I prefer to have something better to use down the road. I am interested in getting a bicycle with a motor. I know that they exist but I am not sure where to purchase them or their proper name. I plan to use it for work commuting in placement of a normal bicycle. .
The commute would be 6 miles round trip (3 miles one way). My hope is to find one that will not require insurance or registration but can still handle the commute on city streets. As it is now, I can ride my bike about 9 mph (give or take). I know that most motorscooters must not exceed 50cc’s and I believe their mph is around 35 mph. The problem is that I do not want to pay for the monthly insurance premiums or for the yearly registration costs associated with them. Does anyone have any ideas or information that may be helpful?
I agree, Spooky Tooth looks the best of the three. What do you know about them? Are they reputable?
I don’t think you need to worry about insurance on those things. I posted some links below to help you. The spooky tooth cycle looked the best to me.
