Impossible to give you numbers, too many variables exist.
Some of us pay $200 / year full coverage, some of us $1000 year PL/PD. It all depends on your specifics, location, experience, driving history, etc.
What you can do to keep the cost down is:
-Keep your current record clean going forward.
-Have insurance on a car in your name for some duration.
-Take an MSF course
-Get your MC license and have it for a while before you get a bike.
-Avoid sport bikes. Get a nice old standard (neither cruiser nor sport) 5-10 years old and stay insured with zero issues. -The longer you are with one company (for the first few 6 month cycles) the lower your rate should go.
All of these will contribute you lower cost for you.
Good luck!
It all depends on what kind of bike you insure, The last bike I had insured was a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10 & I was paying $110 for a year for liability only through state farm insurance.
Hello,
We often take for granted what a convenience our cars are. I was paying a low price for my insurance, but at renewal time, my insurer tried to increase my rates.
My friend sent me a link to this site:
http://www.help-my-rent-mortgage.org
They have a free search to compare auto rates from the major insurers. It saved me a lot of money!
Best of Luck
