how does an electric wheelchair work?
Well my grandmother in Vietnam is becoming really ill and cannot walk herself to places such as the bathroom, so I was wondering in sending an electric wheelchair over there. I don’t think that my uncle would want to carry her every single time she need to use the toilet so this should do the job. How do you charge it. Is is like a battery that you can just plug into the wall and charge it?
You plug it into the wall outlet and that charges the battery.
Most of Vietnam operates at 220 V 50Hz, so be sure you get one that operates under that voltage and frequency. The US is 120 volts 60Hz.
Also check that the house has electric power and it is at the 220 volts 50 Hz level, lots of that country have no power, and some have a non-standard voltage.

an electric chair will kill her!!
There’s electric wheel chairs?
I thought you have to move them manuallly?
You put 2 aa batteries in a slot in the back, and she’s ready to go!
Shipping power chairs is really expensive, and you want to make sure that the charger is compatible with the local voltage, and that the batteries and repair parts can be obtained locally. It is generally better to find a way to purchase a local chair.
