My guess is that it would not be cost efficient to cite you. The police probably figure that if you can only afford an electric scooter, then you probably would not be able to afford a decent fine. Cost of citing you would outweigh the benefit.
maybe because 2 stroke dirtbikes are faster and more danderous than a moped. or dirtbikes are louder
Because an electric scooter is not governed by local or DOT regulations and riding a dirtbike on the sidewalk is just plain rude and dangerous to pedestrians .
Being that it’s electric, it probably doesn’t make any noise when running.
You’re not really bothering anyone, so the cops don’t bother you.
