In most states yes, it is a MOTOR vehicle, the insurance isn’t for you, but for the ppl you hit.
Yes…keep in mind you can’t drive a scooter on anything but local roads (most highways have minimum cc requirements)
no but you do need a scooter/ moped make sure it has fuel
Yes you do and obviously it would be more affordable than a motorcycle or car. Insurance prices usually depend on engine size.
I’ve noticed you’re asking questions that can best be answered by your local Department of Motor Vehicles.
Is there a good reason for not stopping by after school and asking them?
Even if you ride the bus, you could probably get a bud to give you a lift, right?
The folks that work there have all your answers and, it’s what they’re paid to do with your parents tax dollars.
It depends on your home state.
NC KY SC & TN (last I knew) for example doesn’t require tax’s, tags, nor insurance, on a 49cc moped/scooter.
However anything over & above 50cc is supposed to be registered like a motorcycle in any, every, & all states.
Consult your local law of the land, as 49cc mopeds are not universally regulated.
