Do you need a licenses to operate a motor scooter? what type if you need one?

I’m turning 14 soon and i heard that they are about to change the age that you can drive to 18 so I’m thinking about getting a motor scooter because im way to lazy to bike 2 miles to the mall so what are the regulations and stuff for the state of virginia?
They should change the age sooner. There is no way a 14 year old should be driving any form of motorized vehicle. They should make it 21 years old.
If you are referring to operating a street legal moped type scooter . . age 14 is too immature! Posting here indicates you were too lazy to even Google "virginia driver license" . . what a slacker!

In Virginia, you need a drivers licence to ride a scooter. Anything over 50cc’s you will also need a motorcycle endorcement.
