but if it was gas, you might have some problems there. but im not sure, it depends what type of community you live in!

No there not illegal as long as you dont ride it in public places,but the cops never tell you nothing about it in the U.S. dont know about Candada though.

They are not street legal at all- you can only ride them on private property.

On the face of it that scoot should be no different than a Segway. It is not a matter of if, but where they are legal. Depending on where you live, there could be local regulations that would prevent using an electric scooter on the sidewalks and/or the streets. Check with the RMP or the Provincial government.
