Motorized Scooter

Electric scooters are increasing in popularity every year and are a convenient and cheap mode of transportation.  They are a huge money saver and are extremely efficient.

Electric powered scooters use rechargeable batteries, which can be recharged using any electrical outlet in your home.  Cheap electric scooters are available and are made by several manufacturers.  There is also a wide range of kids electric scooters to choose from.  In addition to the electric 2 wheel scooter, there are 3 wheel scooters and mobility scooters.

Electric scooters vary in speed from 3.5 mph to 6 mph, however some electric scooters can reach a top speed of 15 mph.  The speed of an electric scooter is affected by several factors. The weight of the rider, the level of charge in the battery, tire pressure, inclines, hills and rough terrain can all influence an electric scooters speed. Typically the speed rating the manufacturer lists for an electric scooter is its maximum speed under ideal conditions.

Between high fuel prices and hard economic times, an electric 2 wheel scooter is a fantastic way to save money and they have a very positive effect on the environment as they do not add to the pollution.  Instead of getting an expensive car, you can buy yourself a cheap electric scooter.
You will not have the speed of a car or a motorcycle but just think of all of the money you will save.  They are terrific for riding in and around the city and for short runs as well.  Not to mention the fact that you won’t be stuck in annoying traffic jams as you can easily move around everyone in your electric scooter.

Should You Buy An Electric Motor Scooter?

You may have asked yourself, “Do I need a gas powered scooter or an electric motor scooter?”  A lot of people have argued for one or the other but there are pros and cons for both types.

One reason that electric motor scooters rank high on the list is that electricity is a lot cheaper than gas, considering that electric scooters cost just pennies a day to recharge.  That alone is a major fact to consider.

Another thing to consider is the environmental factor.  Electric scooters definitely contribute to a greener planet as opposed to gas powered scooters which give of harmful exhaust fumes.  Also, you can pack an electric motor scooter on most trips since they’re allowed in most buses, planes and trains, while gas powered scooters are not.  They are also much less noisy that gas scooters and produce a relatively quite hum as opposed to a much noisier sound, much like a small motorcycle.

What Is The Range Of An Electric Scooter?

The range of an electric motor scooter is the distance it will take you on a single charge. Electric scooters and electric wheelchairs vary in range from 8 miles to 20 miles per charge. Electric scooters that offer a range of more than 15 miles are pretty uncommon and are usually much more costly. The range of an electric scooter is based upon several different factors including rider’s weight, tire pressure, inclines, hills and rough terrain can all have an effect on an electric scooters range.
